Formal Full Court Press

Wednesday morning we will go to the formal court hearing where the Regional Judge will rule on our adoption application. We are to be picked up at 9:15am, and then have a short pow-wow with our attorney and interpreter.

Then the basketball game starts at 11:00am. We are not allowed to take photos of the court building or take any photos once we are inside. They are not kidding.

Should be much like yesterday except more particpants such as an orphange representative, someone from the prosecutors office, someone from the Ministry of Education and someone from the Red Army Hockey Team "B" 1984 Olympic Team. (Might be wrong on the last guy.)

Per Russian security laws we only have a likeness of the actual court building:

  1. Great blog you two - what a great idea. It will be fun for all of you to look back years from now and read through the final stages of the process again.

Good luck tomorrow with the court proceedings - I'm sure everything will go smoothly.

As for what to do during those 10 days... besides blogging, I recommend walking around, trying to practice your Russian, and try and exercise (ha, easy to say from here). Enjoy the moment!

  2. What an adventure...soak it all in! It may seem like a lot right now, but how wonderful for Ruslan and Anya that you are becoming so familiar with their homeland. Good luck with everything, and blessings to all four of you!
