We are now in the mandatory 10 day waiting period.
There were even more people in the court today than expected. All gave straight forward and at times rather flattering testimony regarding our interactions and effect on Ruslan and Anya.
It was a very humbling experience. The Judge was extremely formal and strict regarding protocol and court procedure. Only after her ruling were we to see her warm smile and receive her congratulations. It was really a fantastic day!!
The weather was incredibly nice, and we stopped to celebrate at a little cafe in Attraction (Amusement) Park not too far from the hotel.
We will now move down to Pyatigorsk until we leave for Moscow. We will be closer to kids, and this will allow us to see them more often during the next 10 days. We do get to see them tomorrow, and can't wait to tell them the exciting news!
We, suffice it to say, are very, very happy!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your entire family! I'm sure the kids were thrilled when they heard the news. I would have love to have been a fly on the wall when they were told.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to meet the kiddos in the next couple of months after they're a bit more adjusted to the U.S.
Please capture some video of them flying for the first time --- would be great to see.
